Update

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. Our original doctor's appointment was March 2, however, Old Man Winter decided to make one last appearance in the Upstate. We had our first snow of 2009 in March. We had about 2 inches at our house, but closer to Greenville they received from 4 to 6 inches. The snow was mostly melted the day of our doctor's appointment, so Daron and I headed out only to find them closed. We were a little disappointed because we were looking forward to hearing the baby's heartbeat again. They rescheduled my appointment for March 19th. Yesterday, we finally made it to the doctor. We saw Dr. Lantz, who said everything looked great! He said I seemed very healthy. The nurse took my blood pressure and said it was EXTREMELY good. After telling her I was a teacher, she said, "Your blood pressure is really good to have worked today!" We got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. It was 157 this time. We will be able to find out the gender of the baby at our next appointment. Our next appointment is April 14th, my birthday!!! What a great birthday present! Our school is on Spring Break that week so I asked for the earliest appointment time, 9am! I will try to post that day so everyone will know! Continue to pray for the health of our baby!

Welcome to our New Blog!

I decided to start a blog for our family after finding out that we are expecting a little one! We have so many friends and family who live out of town, I thought this would be a good way for us to keep everyone up to date on my pregnancy and our family!

If you didn't already know, Daron and I are expecting our first child in September. We are EXTREMELY excited and can't wait to be parents. We had our first ultrasound at 9 weeks to confirm my pregnancy. We were able to see the little "peanut" and see and hear it's heart beat. The babies heartbeat was very strong. Daron leaned over me to take a closer look at the ultrasound monitor and said, "WHOA! Look at it!" We could see it's little arm and leg buds and could see the baby dancin' around. The gift of life is truly amazing!

As I write this, I am starting my 13th week of pregnancy. I have been extremely tired this first trimester, but everyone says that will get better. I have felt sick mainly at night, which I am thankful for because I don't know if I could handle being sick during the day while at school. I have a tiny little baby bump, but am still wearing my normal clothes, although some things are starting to get a little tight. I will try to post pictures of my baby belly later, as I start to show more!

We go back to the doctor tomorrow, so I will update everyone on the latest news with Baby Z!
Please pray for my pregnancy and for a happy, healthy baby!!
